Title The Influence of Ruyao Conducts Parametric Modeling on Consumer Preferences

  • Abstract Abstract
    Ruyao carries the most exquisite skills of the Song Dynasty, contains elegant and simple cultural connotations, and it is a treasure in the intangible cultural heritage. The Ruyao industry has cultural resources to be developed, in the meantime of protecting and inheriting the beauty of traditional crafts, people should keep pace with the times and putt the concept of innovation at the forefront of development.
    This research is mainly carried out in four stages. The first stage analyzes the reasons why Ruyao was once brilliant and the problems it faces today through literature research. In the second stage, the problem was confirmed. Through in-depth interviews with masters of porcelain, relevant officials of the government enamel industry, dean of the Ceramic College, and field investigations into the Ruyao production area of Ruzhou, Henan, the direction of innovation and development was determined. The third stage carries out a survey of preferences. Through the questionnaire survey, compare the preference of young and senior citizens for innovative products, and understand the reasons for product preferences through semantic difference method. The fourth stage carries out practical research, through technical integration, and in-depth cooperation with local enterprises, along with professional technical support and cooperation, practice open mold burning. And find problems, solve problems from the actual production process and product development. This study links traditional culture, digital design, raw materials, and manufacturing together, processes to integrate technology and traditional crafts, bringing more inspiration and possibilities to Ruyao production.
    Through the image survey and preference analysis of young people, middle-aged and aged people, it can be concluded that the aesthetic preferences of different age groups are different. Young people have higher preferences for innovative styles, and are more likely to prefer technological and unique shapes. Because of having a certain understanding of traditional enamel knowledge and styling, middle-aged and aged people tend to prefer traditional styling in terms of styling preferences, and have more preferences for classic and restrained styling. In the aspect of innovative styling, young people, middle-aged and aged people generally accept the sense of line shape more than the shape of the block, and the overall preference for refined and soft shapes.
    The analysis of the research results are as follows: 1. Model innovation: through the embodiment of the blocky and line sense, to product modern utensils that are different from the traditional shape. 2. technological innovation: use parametric data modeling, to product a technological sense style that has complex data and final styling effect of scientific unpredictable for human; 3. color innovation: through color gradient or mosaic technology, new visual effects are produced without changing the original characteristics of Ruyao In the case of green glaze. Finally, the research results are analyzed and discussed, and the future innovation direction with high public acceptance is summarized. More importantly, let more people understand the Ruyao culture, feel the charm of Ruyao, and truly realize the cultural heritage and development of Ruyao.
