      Server mechanical structure design evolving as the electronic technology progresses dramatically. Electronic form factor, specification and manufacturing process has changed to fit in with low cost and high performance trend. New theories and methods of enclosure design have been developed to increase the perfection of the high performance apparatus.
      Example like structure in servers that was fixed by screw, with creativity, now changed to screw-less by adopting various materials (metal, plastic…etc.). More common, design refined by keeping the function of the original design and simplifies the tooling structure to lower down the manufacturing cost.
      Application of adopting various design techniques can not only produce new products with different specifications but also easy manufacturing and assembling products, moreover, quality and cost can be controlled at the same time. Using theses design theories and concepts to meet system requirements will decrease issues and improve manufacturability to make the process smooth.
      More and more servers with user friendly interface and powerful functions are being designed, manufactured today. This thesis brings up some concepts and methods with analysis that provide server designer some references and direction that more innovations and breakthroughs in mechanical design can be implemented in the server design.
