Moreover, in order to enhance the responsive ability to the market and then strengthen their competitive advantage, manufacturers should integrate their supply chain members to reduce costs, increase service levels, and reduce the bullwhip effect through improving supply chain management practices and information technology capability.
The purposes of this study are to verify the impact of supply chain management practices and information technology capability on the level of supply chain integration and competitive advantage. The research objects of the study are the 1000 largest manufacturing firms of Taiwan listed in the directory of 2010 Common Wealth Magazine. The data are collected by mailing questionnaires, a total of 500 questionnaires were distributed to the selected research objects, and there were 124 valid questionnaires returned representing 24.8% response rate. The empirical data then conducted structural equation modeling analysis by using AMOS 17 and SPSS 14 software. The results are as the follows：As expected 1.The supply chain management practices have a positive effect on the level of supply chain integration. 2. The information technology capability has a positive effect on the level of supply chain integration. 3.The level of supply chain integration has a positive effect on competitive advantage. However, the empirical data didn't verify that the supply chain management practices and information technology capability have directly impact on competitive advantage significantly.
