In various manufacturing processes, such as hardware design, firmware R&D, product testing, and quality control, a great amount of information and heterogeneous systems are involved such that most product tests are conducted manually, which is unfavorable to test automation. The main purpose of this thesis is to explore how to effectively integrate information and adjust production test processes to improve product quality and enhance enterprise competitiveness. This study proposes a Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) solution for automated test process, focusing on the discussion of manufacturing test processes and utilizing the Service-Oriented Modeling and Architecture (SOMA) method for service-oriented analysis and design, service development, deployment, and testing. By leveraging Microsoft’s SOA solution and the integration capability of web services, reusable software components are designed in this study to provide a flexible and agile automated test system.
