  • Abstract This thesis presents the problem with respect to the flux reset technique of the forward converter. In the forward converter a series problem will occur when the MOSFET is switched off and no path for magnetizing current to flow, it will then generate a high voltage across the MOSFET to destroy this MOSFET. Therefore, In order to prevent this issue happened, we need to add the flux reset circuit to allow the magnetizing current to fall to zero during the MOSFET off period.
    We knew that there are four approaches could solve this problem, including Reset Winding, RCD Reset, Resonant Reset, and Active Clamp. But I just want to discuss the reset winding to do some modifications and comparisons, In order to get the optimal method.
