  • Abstract The blood-glucose test strip has become the common product used by the diabetes patient. This product has attracted considerable attention in the biomedical examination application, and has huge opportunities in the future market. Therefore, it leads to the multi-competitors to grab the market share. The fully automated production system for the precision manufacture of the blood-glucose test strip is the key technology. The mass production technology of the test strips are becoming the decisive outcome. While price competition is critical in the market, it also requires the greater flexibility in process. Fully automated production technology could minimize the unnecessary labor costs; it also improved the quality of test strip, and reduced the defective rate. Therefore, we could face a wide range of market competition and also seek for more demand from the market.
       This study provided the improvement of software and hardware for the blood-glucose test strip, and also enhanced the efficiency, productivity, and quality. Due to the difficulty to cut the soft material of blood-glucose test strip, the design features for the test strip focused on the automatic designs for cutting and packing technology. Due to the difficulty to cut the soft material of blood-glucose test strip, therefore this study is focused on the design of appropriate flattening and cutting technology. Technology improvement in this study reduced the productive cost and also enhanced the competitiveness for the future market.The successful manufacture of the blood-glucose test strip in this study benefit the domestic biomedical industry in the future.
