Electronic Medical Record is such artifact of the information system for medical industry. The Medical Surgery Consent that a patient signs for receiving the treatment is part of the medical record and should be included in the EMR also.
The objective of this thesis is to construct the management and digital signature system for the Medical Surgery Consent. We focus on the Medical Surgery Consent in the EMR to make it electronic and facilitate its digitalization. We also established a database for those Medical Surgery Consents to make and manage the output of the Medical Surgery Consent separately in XML and XSLT formats. Furthermore, we applied Citizen Digital Certificate to realize its digital signature after transforming the documents into PDF files. By using the certificate IC card users can validate the identity of the signer and the completeness of the Medical Surgery Consent, thus assuring the quality of digital signature.
