In product lifecycle management, the document management reveals its importance in enterprise. During product development process, projects will generate lots of enterprise knowledge. Document is a kind of specific knowledge especially. The document management is the core of product lifecycle management. Therefore, how to effectively process document management operation is an important topic worthy of further exploration.
Based on the literature survey results of product lifecycle management and document management related, and further analysis of S company’s current document management status via product lifecycle approach and put forward difficulties of the document management. This study proposes improvement methods for found difficulties as document management quality improvement via a real case study. Finally, this study could be a reference and benefit for corporations who are about to implement similar document management system.
