  • Abstract During conceptual or design process in Industry Design, to adapt CAD in improving development schedule, even more there are better performances of computer media than traditional media such as powerful computing, and under the use of visual feedback function. CAD and the encouraged creativeness brought connection, especially during concept construction, CAD has revealed its advantages. Therefore, we tried to understand the influence to designer on concept development if computer or traditional media is adapted, through research on concept construction process of key factor of design creativeness.
2 teams proceeds the research, one team is using CAD through out experiment, and the other one is using traditional media to work on concept and then complete it with CAD, After comparison and analysis, here is phenomenon and discrepancy described as followed: Using traditional media to proceeding visual thinking process is simpler, however using computer media produced a great deal of modify behavior directed by visual thinking process. Therefore, user of computer media were frequently prompted behaviors of seeing, imaging, drawing, create, and modify than traditional media. Furthermore sketch itself recorded development process of concept, kept thought process of design. This research suggest if path record function enable in CAD, thought process of designer could be recorded intact, the black box session of design process could be opened.
