The way of recognition of food source and knowing producing situation of the food became the vital section of producing and distribution system. Such system provided trustworthy identification of food in the process from farm to table with transparent information for food supply process.
This study adopted rice as the object of traceability in producing and distribution processes based on the Taiwan Good Agricultural Practice (TGAP) released by the Council of Agriculture. We studied the information of rice producing and distribution in each process for traceability. Rice producing and distribution processes were modeled with the method of architecture of integrated information system (ARIS). EPCglobal NetworkTM was adopted to integrate the records from producing processes to distribution processes of rice to reveal complete producing and distribution process information.
