  • Abstract Electric power industry is one of leading industries to promote national
    development. It has high industry relevance, high technical and security requirements level and domestic market oriented. In recent years the electric power market has shrunk drastically due to the change of industry trend and open market for foreign products Competition in the domestic market is becoming severe.
    This study is aimed to investigate the strategy to increase the competition capability of electric power company. Diamond theory was used to analyze the industrial environment. Five forces analysis and SWOT analysis were applied to evaluate the case company. Research results indicate that the competition capacity could be improved through (1) improvement of automation of production, (2) upgrading the technical level and product transformation and (3)strengthening strategic alliance relationship and expanding overseas markets.
