The best proliferated response of adventitious shoots was 5.67±0.73 shoots per leaf when cultured on MS basal medium supplemented with 0.5 mg/l BA for 40 days. The proliferated ratio of shoots for was 4.50 ±0.47 shoots per node segment when node segments were cultured on MS basal medium supplemented with 0.3 mg/l BA for 30 days. The frequency of shoot rooting was 100% when regenerated shoots were cultured on MS basal medium supplemented with 0.1 mg/l IBA for 30 days. Plantlets were pre-cultured on 1/3 MS modified medium promoted the survival percentage of plantlets up to 85%. For callus induction of leaves, petioles and stem nodes, the frequency of callus induction was 100% when three kinds of explant cultured on MS basal medium supplemented with NAA. Lots of callus regenerated from the explant of petioles and stem nodes cultured on MS basal medium supplemented with the combination of 0.5, 1.0 mg/l BA and 0.8, 1.0 mg/l NAA. For cell suspension culture, the multiplication ratio of bismass was 11 times when cell cultured in MS basal medium supplemented with 0.5 mg/l BA and 0.8 mg/l NAA for 21 days.
In vivo plantlets and in vitro plantlets of Rubus taiwanicola Koidz. & Ohwi., and 4 rosaceae plants were evaluated the scavenging free radical effect by DPPH test. Water extract and methanol extract from leaves of In vivo plantlets of Rubus taiwanicola Koidz. & Ohwi. expressed highly antioxidation property up 93% under the concntration was 100 μg/ml. Even the system concentration was only 20 μg/ml, the scavenging free radical effect showed up 72%. The results higher than other four kinds of rosaceae plant.
