Study in ERP system of academics, mostly focus on the case study of ERP implementation, or regard enterprise user as the research subject. Implementation of ERP, involves ERP system, enterprise and ERP system provider. However, using implementation consultants as research subject is quite little.
So, this research aims at probing into the impact of the integration ability of an ERP system, the readiness of each department of a firm and the ability which ERP vendor on the benefit of implementing ERP system. The research subjects of this study are the ERP system implementation consultants. The survey was conducted by using a e-mail questionnaire. The empirical data underwent reliability analysis using SPSS 14.0 statistical software. Then, structural equation modeling (SEM) analysis was done using AMOS 6.0 statistical software to identify the factor loading and path coefficient, evaluate goodness-of-fit of the best fitting model, and test research hypotheses. The results supported the hypotheses that the ability of the integration of an ERP system, the readiness of each department of a firm and the ability which ERP vendor have a positive impact on tangible benefits of a firm; the hypotheses that the integration ability of an ERP system and the readiness of each department of a firm have a positive impact on intangible benefits of a firm.
