With the growth of Internet technology, the Internet has formed a large database. Handheld devices have been widely used in life. Obviously, handheld devices and the cloud computing demand will continue to increase.
Cloud computing is the use of end-to-end network communication to obtain services provided by a remote group of servers while service providers do not need to own computing resources, such as host machines, storage, etc. The cloud technology is maturing. Many of the storage and computing resources can be configured and allocated dynamically. Cloud computing and storage efficiency has been significantly improved, resulting in high elasticity, high efficiency, high reliability and high capacity, etc..
We use the "Google App Engine", cloud services from Google, to develop a campus information system for universities. This thesis covers the network drive and roll call/leave subsystems of the campus information system. The network drive subsystem provides shared file systems for staffs and students. It supports operations, such as adding, deleting, uploading, downloading files, and opening files for sharing, and so on. In the roll call/leave subsystem, teachers can make roll calls, query students' absence records and review students' leave requests while student can submit leave requests and inspect her/his absence and leave records.
