  • Abstract In this thesis, tag antenna for radio frequency identification (RFID) application is implemented. The tag antenna consists of traditional RFID tag antenna and magnetic wall-like. It can be mounted on metallic plates and on water bottles. Input impedance of the antenna measured by TDR and VNA. Read range and radiation pattern of the proposed RFID tag antenna also measured in the anechoic chamber. The maximum read range on metallic plate is around 3.9m, and on the water bottle is around 3.5m. The read range of label-type tag using fixture we designed was also measured, and its maximum read range could achieve 6.2m.
