In the future, cloud computing services will be an important role to meet various needs of the people in our daily lives. In this concept, a lot of technology in cloud computing were generated. In cloud computing, one of the most important technologies is virtualization.
One of the Cloud computing services is Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS). It offers resource on demand of guest’s requirement. Users can configure the hardware requirement in accordance with their needs of the hardware requirement. This thesis presents a method of dynamic voltage scaling for dynamic adjustment of resources by inspecting CPU utilization. The voltage of the idle computer can be reduced and heavy loaded works can be migrated to those machines with lighter loading for achieving the purpose of energy saving. The experimental results show that by applying the proposed mechanism, at the user unaware situation energy consumption can be saved significantly.
