We also explain the procedure of TDR measurements to get the SPICE model by importing the importing result to the package software IPA510. Then importing the SPICE model to the package software Microwave Office by feeding a pulse train in the SPICE modelvarification can be carried out. Finally, comparing with the result of the measurements by feeding a pulse train generated from Tektronix DG2040 DATA GENERATOR to the physical structure-IEEE 1394.A connectors, farther comparison is done. The simulation of the equivalent model using package software Microwave Office shows good agreement with the measurements. Therefore, the accuracy of this proposed is very promised.
Besides, we set up the connector model in the package software CONCERTO and compare the time-domain simulation result with TDR measurement of the physical structure-IEEE 1394.A connectors. The comparing result shows that the characteristic impedance trend is similar, although there is 20 ohm mismatch with each other. Some discussion about it are listed in the chapter 6.
