  • Abstract With the growing maturity of IC & RF technologies, currently the CPUs within, from mid-band to baseband of the wireless communication system, are mostly implemented by digital circuits instead of traditional analogue ones. Following such a development trend, a fully digitized software defined radio system can be expected to replace the whole traditional wireless communication system.
      In this thesis, the WiMAX environment is built to study and to implement the software define radio system. National Instrument SDR DP is chosen due to its highly flexible hardware structure and the user-friendly graphical editing and programming language “LabVIEW”. The system construction procedures and experiment logs are documented in this thesis to share for the future development tasks.
