  • Abstract The main purpose of this research is designing a RC Joint Trainer that can fly with fixed wing and rotating wing , and make up it to become a technical teaching material. Chapter one introduce three most important inventions of aviation history in 20th century(Wright Flyer , Cierva’s Autogiro , Arthur M. Young’s Bell-Helicopter) , and explain this research is to hope students experience the aviation history and learn machine technical ability by do. Chapter two states the basic principle of airplane flying , and tell students how to design airplane , know the essential structure and name of parts. Let students realize the fantastic D-Box structure of the wing from fabricate a wing step by step. Experience the design and fabricate, students will understand that it is not very difficult to fabricate a RC airplane, and they will get much enjoyment. Chapter three explain what is autogiro and the theory of autorotation of rotor. Let student to fabricate rotors, in the course of making student will realize the features of autogiro(blade pitch, tilt angle, zero lift line…etc). Chapter four, because of the lack of model size autogiro’ rotor characteristic data, so I do some experiment to get some datum to support the design. Chapter five states the result of flying test and the improvement after flying test.
