Take a 7 inch Tablet PC for example. Most of Tablet PC have around 180mm length PCB and the specific PCB length will impact the antenna matching on specific band. If antenna only works on a single band, that will be easy to get better matching by changing the PCB length. But if the antenna has to work for the dual-band, from the physical point of view, it has no way to match dual-band by changing the PCB length.
Trying to get good band-width and impedance matching with limited antenna radiator and PCB length for specific frequency is what this thesis wants to do. The choke can be put on the right position of the PCB to get better performance in high-band because it works like cutting off the PCB length. But it will not impact low band performance because the low band current still can flow the current-choke.
