The term “reverberation” is defined as the spread of sound within particular spatial areas. Based on the observations of subsequent acoustic effects and the impulse response, the route of sound spread can be divided into three stages, including the direct path, the early reflection (primarily due to the first-time reflection), the and late reverberation (due to multiple-reflections).
Drawing on the works conducted by Schroeder and Moorer, in this study we proposes a reverberation system, and investigates the appropriate choices of relevant parameters. In particular, two experiments were conducted for improving the overall sound quality, and the results of the experiments showed that the proposed system can improve the sound quality more close to the natural sound and reducing the amount of calculation by 15% at the same time.
