  • Abstract Pedestrian Dead Reckoning (Pedestrian Dead Reckoning, PDR) and Bluetooth Beacon positioned as two common indoor positioning technology. The PDR estimates the user's position by using a pedometer and azimuth sensor to measure the concept of a similar wire, the indoor environment itself does not require additional equipment, the positioning results will be affected by the user caused by bias. Bluetooth positioning with a Bluetooth beacon, through the signal strength data than the user's position where the signal strength to determine its location, as the signal vulnerable to the environment, the need to lay a large number of lighthouse in order to improve the positioning accuracy, and this will improve the positioning costs.
    Considering above two type indoor location technology of advantage and disadvantage. In this thesis, PDR as the research topic, and based on the smooth indoor environment and the gentle pace of the move, this thesis provides a new threshold generation way that by using every single walking cycle of human to auto generate thresholds, to improve the Zhou's method which is use half-fixed threshold in the footsteps of the limited state of the machine threshold generation and will cause flaw in step detection. Through the experiment, the new PDR will be applied to the smart phone, and confirm that whether step detection is more closed to the reality situation. Then the use of Bluetooth beacon to assist PDR positioning system, and has flexible and common. which say that whenever the pedestrian carries a PDR-enabled smartphone approach to the Beacon placement, PDR can be corrected by receiving the Beacon coordinate signal, even though the pedestrian does not across the Beacon placement, it can also regard PDR calculate result as pedestrian location. In additionally, Bluetooth beacon amount can be adjusted depend on different indoor environment. In other words, Combining PDR and Bluetooth beacon we provide more flexible and accuracy method that is, and it will help indoor location.
