It will substitute for traditional lamp and CCFL (cold cathode fluorescent lamp). It is a trend of LED replacement CCFL as backlight light source. LED is used in mid-size backlight before. In recent year, it is developmental to large-size backlight. LED is point of light source, so the shadow view is prone to produce in backlight. It is used a lot of LEDs for backlight to arrive uniform light, but the problem of hot spot is produced at the same time. It is important to use little LED to get high luminance and high uniformity. In this study, there are three LEDs is set on the LED light fitting. The soft light guide of PDMS and reflection film are stuffed in LED light fitting.
