Title IMPLEMENTATION OF OFDM SYSTEM ON C6416 PLATFORM

  • Abstract Because of the high transfer rate, resistance to multipath and reduce bandwidth effectively, the OFDM could be use in many new communications. In recent years, DFT is used commonly in OFDM systems, but the computational complexity is still high than other transforms. Hence we took FFT to reduce the computational complexity. This paper use TI C6416 DSK platform, optimization mode provided by CCStudio v3.1 and three different FFT to realize this OFDM system. This four different levels of optimization optimize code size and cycle time to reduce the computational complexity.
    We can actually implementation of OFDM system on C6416 DSK platform, while the results does not be optimized, the Radix-4 reduce 16% cycles to the Radix-2, the Split-Radix 2 / 4 reduce 24% cycles to the Radix-2 . Compared to without using the four different levels of optimization, the optimization option (-o0) 10% reduce of cycles, optimization option (-o1) 16% reduce of cycles, optimization option (-o2) 24% reduce of cycles, optimization option (-o3) 24% reduce of cycles.
