  • Abstract This thesis is dedicated to study and analyze the usages of smart device in smart building application on Internet of things, to explore a way to improve the smart device deployment method and procedures, the discuss is focus on the issues regarding the massive resources, working hours and human resources, required when deploying and configure the smart devices. By proposing mechanisms for improvement on convey the network configure parameter through NFC technology to improve the smart device network configuration and connection efficiency, and a specific designed device self-configurable procedure to simplify the existing method on device configuration, this thesis design and implement a experimental system to verify the proposed mechanisms. According to the result of the experiments, the mechanisms can help to greatly improve the efficiency of smart device deployment. Shall these mechanisms be accepted, it should be helpful on the improvement of the smart building application.
