Nowadays multifunctional integration of digital television also leads to the increase of control keys of remote controller. The remote controllers in the market are not completely same in functions and arrangement, the remote controller of digital television even has over 50 keys due to the increase of functions. Keys of remote controller should be intuitive and interactive operation interface in order to be in conformity with the principle of simple application expected by everyone. This research combines digital television's function menu and the application keys of remote controller, utilizes literature collection to analyze and discuss the physiological and psychological demand of users when using digital television's remote controller and behavior pattern analyze, and integrates innovative touch control mode on digital television's remote controller to enable users to accomplish simple application, finally according to market analysis and literature, establishes one group of innovative remote controllers and digital television interfaces to prove the results of this innovative design.
This research focuses on the people who have or have not used digital television and respectively utilizes remote controller to conduct menu operation task for innovated interface, in the research, takes optional film, video call and setting functions of television as experiment tasks. Remote controller controls menu with software of mobile phone, uses Bluetooth to connect computer and display the picture in CHIMEI 42'' LED television and let testees make menu operation.
Experiment results show although video call function spends longer time in task operation than that of optional film task of task one, its degree of satisfaction is higher, indicating that menu presented in pictures can shorten the time for making program menu by users, however, the testees are relatively satisfied with the overall interface of video call, proving that many interface operations are accepted or rejected between engineering and design. Finally, the importance of design is neglected in order to stress the application efficiency, therefore, the results show that operation interface functions should be efficient in application for sure, but interface beautifying and layout design are more importance. In addition, in the aspect of remote controller, testees still prefer to let keys of remote controller be placed on the right above panel, and testees think that this operation method is convenient for menu selection of digital television.
