Title The Studies of the Lost Sample Reconstruction via Template Approach

  • Abstract With the uncertain communication conditions, it may lead to the possibility of the transmission loss of signal samples during the transmission of signals. Accordingly various algorithms of signal reconstruction have been developed for solving this kind of problems. Papoulis-Gerchberg (PG) iterative algorithm is famous for its simplicity and effectiveness for signal reconstruction technique. However, it requires that the restored signal must be band-limited.
    Recently, several approaches of signal reconstruction with boundary-matched concepts have been proposed and developed to further improve the restrained application of the PG iterative algorithm. The pre-process procedure is added into the iterative algorithm to make the signal become band-limited and increase the accuracy of restoration.
    In this thesis, a scheme of template technique that boundary-matched is realized by unit error template is proposed to restore signal in less complexity. In this scheme, proper compensations are applied in accordance with boundary conditions, and the simulation results show considerably outstanding improvement in restoration. Our proposed algorithm take less complexity in compared with the time domain approach.
