The traditional demand side management focus on slashing peak-load in peak hours, but it does not consider about user’s comfort. In this thesis, we propose an intelligent energy management system and implement with the Intel Quark-based Gateway.
To consider about user’s comfort, we provide an intelligent energy management system with three modes, (1) saving mode (2) personalized mode (3) comfortable mode, user can choose the mode for their need. In saving mode, it gives serious consideration to save energy and achieve the aim of reduction. In personalized mode, it saves energy according to user’s priority list. In comfortable mode, user only need to set their minimum comfort tolerance level previously, and the system supplies energy saving and user’s comfort keeping. This thesis is dedicated to study the user-friendly demand side management way to make user becomes more active in the energy system.
