  • Abstract In recent years, handheld devices was developed rapidly and wireless broadband technology was popular. So that we were gradually in the habit of using handheld devices to browse the Web or even through wireless transmission using the MSN to chat with friends; we can watch online TV, search for information or watch the most popular YouTube videos, etc. The handheld devices are no longer just have a single function of voice communications or e-mail only. Instead, the handheld device was integrated the communication, multimedia, and amusement such as multi-functional integration making it a mobile multimedia amusement device.
    However, These functions depended upon handheld devices' power, as well as wireless transmission distance. And even handheld devices' memory space and CPU computing power. In the future, they will be emphases for the the speed, the convenience, and the efficiency. These factors will seriously affect the efficiency of the use of handheld devices.
    This paper proposed a building on the Android platform Agent mechanism to achieve the reduction in power's consumption, efficiently use the bandwidth, and the data reduction's method to increase the efficient use of memory space in handheld devices. And this paper will consider the needs of multi-application program processing, making the use of handheld devices is not only convenient and more durable. The main idea is to increase the off-line time, reduce the number of connections; when it is unavoidable or necessary to establish connection, we fully use the remaining bandwidth to minimize the network idle time.
