Title A Study of LED Light Color Cast Effect on Fabric

  • Abstract This study focus on LED source by controlling the color temperature and illumination of variables, and find the most appropriate combination of both, in order to reduce the situation of color cast.The variables of LED: color temperature (4000K and 2700K), illumination (1500Lux and 750Lux). In the experiment, there are three types of material Paper , Cotton and Polyester, each material has printed six colors cyan ,magenta ,yellow , blue, red and Green. Total are four variables and use NCS system to select colors.The experiment have two part, In the first part ,participator will differentiate the colors on paper, thereby obtaining a color cast trends, then follow the results of the first part, more accurate color selection. In second part, in addition to the color identification task, also test participator about experimental conditions preferences assessment. The measurement results of the experimental data, use MANOVA analysis to get the significant, then summarized their color cast trend by multinomial regression analysis .Results showing, color cast situation lowest in color temperature 4000K and illumination 1500Lux; among the three materials, Cotton have least color cast situation; In six colors, the colors C (cyan) most easily have color cast situation, color G (green) have least color cast situation; In preference assessment, the participator most preferred high color temperature. In this study, use LED source to find affect factor on the color cast, and reducing color cast situation. by controlling the lighting source.
