It can increase sales and loyalty to specific products or brands. However, it does not effectively promote interaction between retailers and consumers in the process of distributing coupons. According to the related work, flash mob can enhance connectedness between store and consumer, and it can generate consumer interest. In this research, we developed a mobile app, Hunt & Dig, which prompts users to explore if vouchers appear at nearby locations and lure them to perform the designated movements to obtain the vouchers. It entices consumer to perform flash mobs based on curiosity and exploration. Also, we conducted two phases of experiments to investigate the effect of the Hunt & Dig. In summary, the contributions of this study are to explore the influence of Hunt & Dig on consumer, and identify the design elements to enhance connection between consumers and products.
