However, the colors on caution label usually used colorful colors, leading the product appearance disharmonious. To balance between aesthetics and reliability of product, this study conducted two experiments to explore (1) the factors influencing caution label cognitive and the difference between people in Taiwan and Japan, (2) the reliability and aesthetics on caution label for kitchen appliances. The major findings showed that (1) the display of caution label appeared to have a clear impact on reliability and aesthetics, (2) the difference between Taiwan and Japan was found to exist in the color association on reliability and aesthetics, (3) the words used on caution label for dangerous conditions and the position of caution label were found to be different from the existing products.
